Our mobile app and Latitude Service Centre allow you to have access to your account 24 hours a day. You can easily change your Gem Visa or Gem Essential PIN using these services.
Latitude mobile app:
- Sign in and tap on the card you want to change the PIN for
- Tap on the menu in the top right-hand corner to access the Manage Card option
- Tap on Set or change card PIN
- Enter your new 4-digits PIN
- Re-enter the new PIN to confirm the PIN change
- A verification code will be sent to you via SMS to your registered mobile number. You’ll need to enter the security code to confirm the PIN change.
Latitude Service Centre:
- Sign in and head to Manage Account
- Click on the card you want to change the PIN for
- Click on Set or change my PIN
- Follow the prompts to enter your new 4-digits PIN
- Re-enter the new PIN to confirm the PIN change
- A verification code will be sent to you via SMS to your registered mobile number. You’ll need to enter the security code to confirm the PIN change.
Alternatively, give us a call on 0800 500 505 anytime and say ‘Change my PIN’ to go through the PIN change process. You'll need to enter your 16 digit card number so make sure you have that handy!
Tips:
- You card must be activated before you can select your PIN.
- You need to have an active mobile number on your account to receive a verification SMS.
- You must be the primary card holder.
- If you don’t have access to your account online or don’t have an active mobile number registered on your account, please contact our Customer Service team.
- For security reasons, we do not recommend using a PIN that can be easily guessed, such as your date of birth, the same numbers (7777) or sequential numbers (1234).
- Once you’ve changed your PIN, do not write it down or share it with anyone.
- You don’t need to know your existing PIN, authorisation will be required via a verification SMS.
- Gem CreditLine PIN cannot be changed over the phone or through our online services. You can change your PIN at any Westpac branch with a valid photo ID.
