How do I log in to the Latitude Service Centre?
To access the Latitude Service Centre, you will need your Latitude ID. If you already use the Latitude Mobile App, you are good to go - use the same email address and password, otherwise, for New Zealand customers who opened a credit card account after Dec 2022, or Australian customers with a David Jones credit card, your Latitude ID is the email address you used in your application. If you don’t yet have a Latitude ID, or are not sure, you can register the email address recorded on your credit card account as your Latitude ID – we’ll guide you through the process. (Contact Gem if you need to double-check or update the email address on your account.)
Note: If you've previously been using the Online Service Centre, that username and password will not work on the Latitude Service Centre – you will need to register a Latitude ID and password. Also note that if you had more than one Latitude credit card account, you only need to register one Latitude ID – all your credit card accounts can be linked to that one Latitude ID (provided your name and date of birth are recorded identically and correctly on each account).
Setting up your Latitude ID
To set up your Latitude ID, please provide:
- Your first and last name as listed on your credit card account.
- Optionally, your date of birth (helps our systems link your credit card accounts; otherwise, manual linking is required).
- An accessible email address (preferably the one recorded on your credit card account).
- A unique password*.
- Look out for a one-time verification code sent to your email during registration.
*Make sure not to use any personal details in your password. Keep it tricky!
You can register a Latitude ID and log in here - Latitude Service Centre.
How do I link Latitude credit cards to my Latitude ID?
For New Zealand customers, and Australian customers with a David Jones card, when you apply, we automatically connect your new credit card to your Latitude ID. No waiting – you can jump into the Latitude Service Centre and check out your credit card details straight away.
If you're applying for a different Australian card or hit a having issue as a New Zealand or David Jones customer, you can link your credit card yourself. Just type in your card or credit card account number and your date of birth. We'll send you an SMS code for verification to the mobile number we have on record for that card.
If you already have a Latitude ID with one linked credit card and are adding another, here’s what you need to do. For extra security, we'll double-check that the details on both accounts match. If they don't, we won't link the new account, and you'll need to get in touch to update your details. If you update your phone number, you cannot link your account to your Latitude ID for 24 hours.
Keep in mind, only the main cardholder can link the account to their Latitude ID for privacy reasons.
Just a heads up for joint account holders, due to privacy constraints, accessing your account through the Latitude Service Centre or Latitude Mobile App isn't available.
Can I link my credit card if it's not activated?
Absolutely! You can link your credit card to your Latitude ID, even if it's not activated yet.
What should I do if I haven't received my SMS verification?
To ensure you receive your SMS code during account linking, verify that your mobile details are correct. In case of any disruptions due to mobile and internet network issues, use the resend button. If you've updated your number, you will just need to wait 24 hours before trying again to link your account.
