We’ve received reports of scams where fraudsters are impersonating Gem by Latitude staff, either through emails, text messages, or phone calls. These scams often aim to steal your personal information or gain access to your account.
Common Scam Tactics
- Phishing Emails or Texts: Scammers may send emails or text messages claiming your account access has been disabled or locked with a link for an identity check.
- Phone Phishing: Fraudsters may call pretending to be from Gem by Latitude’s fraud team, warning of suspicious activity on your account or even reference fake transactions to appear credible. They may also disguise their phone number to make it look like they are calling from a trusted Gem by Latitude number.
- Requests for Personal or Account Information: Scammers might ask for details such as your credit card number, CVV, online account password, or a one-time passcode sent via SMS or email.
