Your Gem CreditLine card is changing:
A decision has been made to streamline our cards, and as a result a variation to your Gem CreditLine account will occur. It will be updated to become a Gem Visa account.
Will my card and account number change?
As part of the variation, you will be receive a Gem Visa card and account number.
Will my account history still be available?
Yes, you will continue to be able to access your account history via the Latitude Service Centre and Latitude App.
Do I need to activate my new Gem visa card?
If you are happy with this variation, activate your new card or add it to your mobile wallet. Click here to learn more.
Can I still use my Gem CreditLine card after the change?
As part of the change, your existing Gem CreditLine card will stop working 30 days after the date on which your Gem Visa card is posted to you.
Will my credit limit change?
There is no change to your credit limit.
What if I don’t want this variation?
You may decide not to continue your contract after this variation, and are entitled to cancel your Gem CreditLine account. If you chose to do this, you will need to pay any outstanding balance you have on your account (including any interest or other amounts that have accrued but have not been debited to your account yet), and we will then make arrangements to close the account. You can do this through our Latitude Service Centre or the Latitude App. Alternatively, you can Contact Us.
What happens if I don’t activate my Gem Visa?
If you do not activate your Gem Visa card, you will be able to do transactions using your existing Gem CreditLine card until it stops working 30 days after the Gem Visa card is posted to you. After that time, you will not be able to make any more purchases or cash advances. You will be able to make your minimum monthly payments until you have repaid your account balance in full.
How can I close my new Gem Visa account?

What happens to the Interest Free payment plans that I have on my account?
There is no change to any active plans. They will continue on the same interest free term and the same expiry date.
For example: If you have a 24-month Interest Free payment plan on your Gem CreditLine card with 20 months left on the plan and a $500 balance outstanding at the time of your transfer to a Gem Visa card, the remaining 20 months left on the plan and the $500 balance will transfer to your Gem Visa account.
What happens when my Interest free payment plan expires on Gem Visa, and I still have an outstanding balance owing?
The purchase interest rate that applies to the remaining balance after any interest free plan term ends will reduce from 29.95%pa to 29.49%pa.
I have direct debit setup to pay for my Gem CreditLine account, what do I do with that?
The direct debit setup to pay for your Gem CreditLine account will be automatically continue to now pay balances owing on your Gem Visa account.
Can I make EFTPOS transactions using the new Gem Visa card?
No, EFTPOS is not available on Gem Visa.
