You will receive your Gem Visa credit card statement of account on a regular monthly basis; on or around the same date each month.
The first page of your statement will summarise important details, such items as your:
- Account number – your 16-digit Gem Visa account number. This is different to your card number.
- Statement period – Start and end date of this statement cycle. Transactions posted during these dates will appear in this statement.
- Credit limit – your approved credit limit.
- Available credit – your credit limit less any balance due.
- Available cash – your cash limit less any balance due.
- What you need to pay, showing:
- Payment required by due date, Minimum monthly payment, and
- Due Date,
- If your payment is overdue, or if you are over your credit limit, this section will highlight Payment due immediately.
Also, on the first page is:
- your account summary,
- a warning you should understand if you only make the Minimum payment necessary,
- and further detail on What you might like to pay – this is a value you can pay to your account to qualify your general purchases for up to 55 days interest free, known as your Modified closing balance.
At the bottom of the first page, is detail on how to pay your Gem Visa account under Your payment options.
