Your credit limit is set based on the information you provided when you opened your account. If you're unsure what your current credit limit is, you can find it on the top right of your monthly statement, and in the Latitude App or Latitude Service Centre.
If you're planning a purchase and want to check whether you have enough available credit, log in to the Latitude App or Latitude Service Centre to view your available credit.
Increasing your Credit Limit
We can review your account for a credit limit increase every 6 months.
- In the Latitude Service Centre or the App, go to the Manage account menu and select Increase credit limit and fill in the required fields.
- Alternatively, call our Customer Service team on 0800 500 505.
We will need to ask you some personal and financial questions and possibly ask you to submit some supporting documents for assessment. If your request is approved, your new limit will take affect immediately.
Decreasing your Credit Limit
If your financial needs have changed and you'd like to lower your credit limit, you can do this at any time via the Latitude App or the Latitude Service Centre.
Before you reduce your limit, keep the following in mind:
- If you want to increase your limit again in the future, you'll need to go through an assessment and may be asked to provide income documents.
- We can’t reduce your limit below your current account balance.
To reduce your credit limit via:
- Latitude App: Go to Manage Account and select Reduce Credit Limit. Enter your new preferred limit and complete the required fields.
- Latitude Service Centre: Go to Manage Account, click on the account and Decrease Credit Limit. Fill out the required fields, including your new preferred limit.
